Aug 2012: We would like to introduce for your Aluminum LEDs Application our Paste -

One-Part, Alkali-Free, 530°C-Firing, RoHS compliant, Thick-Film Dielectric Insulator System for Aluminum Substrates.

This type of dielectric pastes are being evaluated as it achieves excellent electrical insulation properties including high BDV.

“Metal-core circuit boards based on stainless steel, copper, and aluminum are used as heat spreaders and heat sinks in applications requiring fast and uniform heat dissipation. Aluminum-based substrates are particularly attractive for applications requiring a combination of low cost, light weight, and high thermal conductivity. If aluminum can be insulated using a low-cost process that yields substrates with high thermal conductivity, it can be used for a wide range of applications. Automotive (high power, high brightness) LED lighting is a good example.”
